Chushinchiku Mountains
These mountains run roughly northwest to southeast across the Chushinchiku region and into the Nishichiku region. Prominent places include the Hinomiyama volcano in the west, The vampire Lord Kyuketsuki’s castle in the south, and the capital of the Chushinchiku region, Kiryushiro, roughly in the middle. There are two desert areas at each end of the chain, Moerusuna in the west, and Sabakutani in the east, and it wraps around Lake Shinzoko in the south. The mountains are heavily forested, with the most varied climate of all the regions. At one time they were the hideout of many criminals and rebels, but since the War of Kiryushiro the criminal factions have nearly vanished and many villages have sprung up. There are still many dangerous and unusual creatures in the rocks and hidden glens of this area though.
