Byakkodokutsu (Byakko's Grotto)

This is the western region of Yokaisekai, ruled over by the daimyo Byakko, the white tiger. It is densely forested and includes the western gate (Nishimon) that opens out to the Hanayomebashi (bridal bridge) Islands.

Located in a prominatory of the outer wall of Yokaisekai, north of the weastern gate Nishimon, and opposite the westernmost spur of the Chushinchiku Mountains, is a cavernous opening in the side of the mountain. While bats live in the higher and smaller openings of the mountain the large opening holds a huge grotto with pools and streams, bonsai landscapes mingled with natural limestone formations, bamboo forests and areas for training in martial arts, and many pathways leading to a massive but simple Japanese style house high in the back of the grotto. This is where Lord Byakko, the white tiger, lives with his students in the martial arts. There are a number of dojo's in the house. The largest has decorative wall hangings hung between the racks of practice weapons and can have tatami mats placed to cover the floor for great feasts.
