Genbushima (Lord Genbu's Island)

This is the northern region of Yokaiseki, ruled over by the daimyo Genbu, the black serpent/tortoise. It is mostly frozen tundra and snows pretty much all year. It has a long meandering lake, Korimizuko, at northern most end of which is the island Genbushima, where Lord Genbu has his luxurious underground home.

In the upper part of the elongated lake of Korimizuko is an eye like island, Genbushima, containing the squat frozen fortress that is the house of the reclusive Lord Genbu, the black turtle-snake. Much of the house is actually underground and it contains one of the best natural hot springs in all of Yokaisekai including a private one where Lord Genbu can relax in his full giant turtle-snake form.
